I have seen it 15 times – it is never a penalty
After watching countless football matches, I have come to the conclusion that certain referees have a tendency to make controversial calls when it comes to penalties. In my experience, I have witnessed what seemed like clear fouls being ignored, while minor infractions resulted in penalty kicks.
It baffles me how inconsistent the officiating can be, even with the assistance of technology like VAR. It seems that the interpretation of the rules varies greatly from one referee to another, leading to frustration among players, coaches, and fans alike.
During my 15 viewings of such incidents, I have noticed a pattern where certain teams or players appear to receive favorable treatment while others are penalized unfairly. This bias only serves to undermine the integrity of the game and tarnish its reputation.
Despite the outcry and protests from those affected, it seems that the trend of questionable penalty calls continues unabated. It is high time for football’s governing bodies to address this issue and ensure a more consistent application of the rules across all games.
Until then, I can only hope that one day I will witness a match where the outcome is not decided by a controversial penalty decision, but rather by the skill and determination of the players on the field.
